lan lessons following the appropriate template including reading, writing and word study
Understand how to use the appropriate assessment summary chart to determine the appropriate reading behaviors and uses flexible grouping
Understand how to select books that match the instructional needs of the group (not just by level but by student behavior)
Understanding of how to use running records and notes about comprehension to guide instruction
Teachers have a brief book introduction and select appropriate vocabulary to introduce
Demonstrate teaching of the sight-word procedure and word study procedures
Teach problem-solving strategies focusing on meaning, syntax and visual cues when coming to unknown words
