Participants will be studying the comprehension strategies: monitoring comprehension (making connections), questioning, visualizing, inferring, determining importance, summarizing and synthesizing. They will be studying how the comprehension strategies relate to the ND Common Core State Standards in grades Kindergarten-5th grade. Additionally, they will be learning how to weave these comprehension strategies into reading instruction and integrating them across the curriculum.
