Objective and Outcomes:

Evaluation and Evidence of Learning and Application:

  • LTF training emphasizes research-based instructional strategies and best practices that build on teachers' pedagogical knowledge to increase the impact of their classroom practice including: 
    • Inquiry-based learning-approaches for engaging students to take a more active part in their own learning
    • Instructional Scaffolding- techniques and guidance for delivering differentiated instruction and facilitating students' progression through the academic ranks toward advanced coursework
    • Vertical Alignment- education about the knowledge and skills students need to master at each grade level to meet readiness expectations
  • Participants are fully engaged in hands-on, learner centered activities during each of the four full instructional days. Attendance is taken twice daily (morning session and afternoon session) and course completion certificates are granted for successful completion.
