Full course description

Description & Purpose of Event: *

North Dakota has eight Adult Educational Learning Centers, satellite locations, and the DOCR Educational Centers across the state. The sites are open to serve students 16+ who need basic education and secondary education services, workforce preparation/training, or upskilling for employment or post-secondary opportunities. Some of the directors and educators in the field of Adult Education have had to acquire training for Adult Education and attend additional coursework for their continuing education credits. The state would like to offer the option of Adult Ed. staff to obtain credit/certification for training/content that compliments and benefits their specific areas through LINCS, a research-based platform, and framework that will help North Dakota Adult Learning Center directors and staff and states across the country.
Directors and teachers will choose from among the LINCS self-directed online courses based on their individual interests (which show the number of hours of the training and certificates shared). They would need to select courses that added up to a total of 15 hours. They would upload their certificates of completion to verify that they completed the necessary number of hours to verify training completion and attendance. The courses that they could choose from can be found here: https://courses.lincs.ed.gov/static/about.html
