Objective and Outcomes: *

Objectives:
1. Reflect on and examine the practices that we currently utilize within our classrooms.
2. Walk through the misunderstandings to more deeply understand why they are considered misunderstandings and bridge these misunderstandings to the science behind teaching reading.
3. Further teaching practices by zooming in on the recommendations given by our authors and trying new strategies in our classrooms.
4. Reflect on new strategies, share our new understandings with our fellow colleagues and continue to grow our teaching practices.

Attendance will be taken at each session.

Evaluation and Evidence of Learning and Application: *

To receive credit, educators must attend live meetings, complete journal requirements, participate in implementing new strategies along with sharing new findings.
