Objective and Outcomes: *

After successful completion of Career Explorer Activities and Research Project, participants will:
- Have an in-depth understanding of the programs offered at a 2-year technical and community college
- Identify student abilities well suited for programs offered at a technical and community college
- Recognize the value of an education from a comprehensive community college
- Realize the employment opportunities and earning potential upon completion of a degree or diploma from a technical and community college.

Resources/Course Materials: *

Participants need access to the internet as well as other research materials to aid in completion and submission of the reflective essay.

Attendance: *

Participants will be required to sign in each day

Evaluation and Evidence of Learning and Application: *

Students must complete 30 hours of coursework to earn 2 graduate credits. The required hours will be met by attending all four days of Career Explorer activities, including campus tours, 3 days of hands-on activities, networking breakfasts, 3 lunch speakers, and 3 dinner speakers. In addition to attending all event activities, participants will be required to complete a survey and submit a one page reflective essay. The reflective essay should highlight detailed insights gained from participating in the Career Explorer event. Reflective essays must be submitted to Dr. Amy Juhala (amy.juhala@bismarckstate.edu) via e-mail by July 6, 2022.
