Objective and Outcomes: *

Goals: The staff of Myhre will be reading the book and having discussions about what they have learned and tried in their classrooms.
Objective: Staff will implement the book into their classrooms. This book aligns with Bismarck Public Schools' use of the frameworks that will eventually be used for teacher evaluations.
Outcomes: Staff will meet at monthly meetings having read the corresponding chapters to discuss and share ideas and ways to implement the elements of the book.

Book: The New Art and Science of Teaching by Robert J. Marzano

Attendance: *

Staff will sign their name on a sign-in sheet.

Evaluation and Evidence of Learning and Application: *

Staff will write a one-page summary about their learning after reading the book. They will discuss the uses of elements they have tried in their classroom as part of their reflection paper. They will be active in the discussion at the meetings. Staff will start to implement the elements of the book in their teaching based on the framework.
