1. Identify the principals of emotional readiness.
2. Identify the principals of brain development.
3. Build an understanding of the importance of secure and protective adult-child relationships.
4. Develop an awareness of the impact of unprotected trauma on young children and epigenetics.
5. Identify the essential protective factors for adults: parents, teachers, and other caring adults in supporting the social, emotional, and cognitive success of young children.
6. Become familiar with activities that engage parents in their children’s development.
