Objective and Outcomes: *

1. Participants will be introduced to the theory of the Science of Reading through participation in the online short course offered through The Big Dippers ($100 paid by the school).
2. Each participant will complete 5 modules, including Checks for Understanding and the final course assessment.
3. Participants will meet to engage in activities, discussion and reflection of the module work they are completing during PLCs.
5. Participants will submit their certificates of course completion.

Attendance will be tracked through sign-in sheets at PLC and collection of module certificates.

Evaluation and Evidence of Learning and Application: *

PLC grade level teams will apply their new understanding and learning as they create Reading unit plans and interventions.
