Objective and Outcomes: 

Teachers engaged in the Institute will be expected to delve deeply into the Honoring Tribal Legacies curriculum with the intention of being able to provide instruction on the Lewis and Clark Expedition through the eyes of the American Indian tribes who provided support and guidance. Considerations for Native ways of knowing and Indigenous knowledge epistemologies are of significant importance in the development of lessons which are culturally competent in the K-12 learning environment.
