Objective and Outcomes: *

• Participants will be able to confidently instruct and model questioning skills, morphing from question asker to question modeler.
• Participants will determine and implement several strategies to increase student engagement through discussion (fishbowl, philosophical chairs, pinwheel, gallery walks, Socratic seminar, etc.).
• Participants will move beyond teaching students how to ask generic questions; instead, focus on how to read and discuss like a historian, understanding discipline-specific questions
• Participants will be able to track the academic growth of students due to their heightened engagement.
